Shawsheen Chieftain, Zack Snyder, has directed the
full-length feature “Man of Steel.”
March 2007:
Former Shawsheen Chieftain and now Director/Screenwriter, Zack Snyder, is at it again. This time he has directed the feature film "300" for Warner Bros. The film was the number one grossing film at the box office in its first two weeks of release. Visit the official "300" movie site for more information. April 2005:
A wonderful and talented member of the camp family, Mindy Jostyn, whose inspiring music not only graced the shores of Long Lake, but also reached all corners of the globe recently passed away. March 2005:
Former 1982 Owatonna Counselor, Lachlan "Lach" Clarke, is a sled-driver (aka "musher") in the 2005 edition of the world-famous Iditarod dog-sled race spanning over 1,100 miles between Anchorage, Alaska and Nome, Alaska. Lach is wearing bib number 63 in the 2005 race. You can read more about the race including a profile of Lach Clarke at the official Iditarod web site: www.cabelasiditarod.com
Update (March 31, 2005): Lach Clarke finished in 60th position for the 2005 race. He crossed the finish line with 11 of his dogs. Congratulations to Lach and his family on this tremendous accomplishment!
Update (December 25, 2005): It appears that Lach Clarke is registered to mush again in the 2006 race.
Update (March 24, 2007): Lach Clarke started the 2007 race but unfortunately had to scratch after reaching Rainy Pass.
March 2004:
Former 1981-82 Shawsheen Chieftain, Zack Snyder, recently completed
his full-length feature directorial debut for the Universal Pictures' release, "Dawn of the Dead." The
movie was the top grossing film for the weekend, March 19-21, edging out Mel
Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ." Zack has directed
numerous commercials across the globe, including some Super Bowl spots, during
his career. Zack lives in Southern California and is represented by Believe Media. There is a nice bio
